Changing a display name utterly wrecks your game account, and the amount of time it remains broken can be anything from 2 weeks to years. We changed a user in 2013 who never recovered full use of their whispers, in-game mail, guild functions, and trade post interactions. A Toggle for 'Show All Object Names' Would be Amazing. In the Options/General Options tab, there are toggles to permanently display or not display enemy names, NPC names, and player names. Unfortunately this does not include a toggle for object names, for items like arrow carts, gathering nodes, bandit chests, and a million other things. Five distinct monuments allow players to show off certain weapons, all miniatures, most heroes and some pets, various prestige armor, and player titles. The hall also serves to kickoff key quests in Eye of the North and for dialogue and quests related to Guild Wars Beyond. More importantly for many players, filling one's Hall of Monuments is Enemy mesmer clones show up with the player's "old" server name (e.g. Anvil Rock Bronze Legend), while the mesmer themself shows up with their "beta" server name (e.g. Moogaloo Bronze Legend). This puts mesmer players at a huge disadvantage in fights and removes a big chunk of their class mechani Doesn't matter whether I use a VPN or not. I had this same issue. I tried on my desktop with and without a VPN, on my laptop that has never had a VPN installed, and even on my phone through mobile data (to make sure it wasn't my home router) which also doesn't have a VPN installed. I actually don't have a problem with this, but what I find strange is that if they are really going for immersion, why have enemy name tags at all? Right now the enemy name tags simply say the realm color + invader + [guild name]. Example, "GreenInvader[HOT]". You can see a video example here. You may have to put it on 720p fullscreen to see. You gain mastery points for completing specific feats, much like achievements. They are also account-bound, meaning you can't complete each feat multiple times. Also, mastery points are only used to unlock the mastery tracks; beyond that, exp is used to actually fill them. About the same feeling as titles, for me. Game should display who placed for example a bonfire, guild banner, spirit banner etcSo then people will know who is putting them =) and it will make the game more friendly! That's a great idea! In WvW, maybe even who pulled emergency levers/way points to spot spies/trolls =) , game could display it as a system text message for that map .
